Wilderness Whispers is a blog that features past and present writings about living in the wilderness.  My husband and I live half of each year in a one room cabin deep in the heart of the Frank Church – River of No Return Wilderness. Our cabin is part of a historic homesite called Campbell’s Ferry, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and located on the bank of Idaho’s Wild and Scenic Salmon River.  I will be posting accounts of our efforts to live a life in some ways like those lived a 100 years ago.  If you have your own stories of living in the wild or  journals or diaries passed down through your family that you would like to share on this blog, I invite you to contact me using our contact form.  Submission does not ensure posting but all will be carefully considered.  The person submitting has the responsibility of ownership and rights to the material.
